So far this year, us here at ILB have been pretty busy. We've featured 10+ cars, attending various car shows and been up to few secret projects. We've got loads more coming too, but right now we wanted to whet your appetite with some video goodness you can look forward to this summer. Enjoy.

Harmony Hill Car Show 2012

Back in 2010, Harmony Hill was one of the first car shows we covered as a website. Based at a small Lisburn primary school with all proceeds going the Children's Hospice & the Jennifer trust this show is always a nice one to add to the local calendar.
With all of the largest Northern Irish car communities coming down for the day, there is always plenty of cars to look at and probably one of the best BBQ's at any show I've ever been to. This year, to show our support we brought along ou…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Portstewart, Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday means different things to different people, but here in Northern Ireland if you're into your cars it means getting up early and travelling down to Portrush/Portstewart to get your parking spot for one of the largest modified cruises of the year. Cars from all over the country appear to spend the holiday by the beach.
This year we met up with Aaron Sloane on the beach at Portstewart and shot his Golf Estate, then after a few laps of the town we snapped these few shots of just some…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Peter Matthew's mx5

Starting off life as your standard every day Mazda. Peter bought his mx5 with pretty poor silver paintwork. But like every car enthuthiast, he soon set about making it his own. He started with some replica BBS rs', and fitting coilovers to give it a nice drop. Like us, you probably seen it about at a few local meets looking this way, and even then it was grabbing the attention of passers by.
But after a short while, Peter decided to up his game. He went about spraying the car in that custom bab…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Early Edition 2012

Hosted by the Edition 38 team, Early Edition returned for it's second year at The Saints, Franklin's Gardens, Northampton this weekend just passed. Following on from a successful first year, hopes were high for this year's event. Even though the forecast suggested rain, the weather held out and the sun arrived instead to make some perfect car show weather.
For me the day began at 5am, when I set off for the venue. On the way, the group that I was with encountered a long line of VW, Audi an…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Cruise for Cancer 2012

Last year we sponsored one of the largest Northern Irish charity runs up the coast in aid of Cancer Research UK. Almost £2000 was donated, and everyone who was involved had a fantastic day out.
Well this year the cruise is back on the same route, but with different organisers, a new date and two charities. The organisers have choosen the Northern Ireland Cancer fund for children and CLIC Sargent to donate the money towards. Both of these charities are doing amazing work, so it's grea…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Vinny Castrogivanni's Mk5 GLI

While the V-Dub scene has been admittedly overflowing with GTI's (and we sure don't mind it), Vinny Castrogivanni decided to take a slightly different route while still maintaining the bloodlines of Mk5 Volkswagens. "I chose the Fahrenheit GLI because I hadn't seen many that were modified." Stepping up a notch from the Jetta, the GLI is definitely an uncommon sighting in the streets of Long Island, New York, and this GLI will make you step on your brakes.
After driving around a 1997 Oldsm…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

The wheels of Dubshed

A friend of ours, Lewis McClay ( who wrote this piece for us ) helped ILB out at the recent Dubshed carshow in Belfast.
While dandering about he started snapping up some of his favourite wheels on his iPhone, and well they turned out awesome - so we've put together this grid dubb'd "The wheels of Dubshed, through the eyes of an iPhone".
Update: This image is now available for download as a desktop background.

Michael Cortens' mk4 Golf

It's been a while since I've had a chance to get a photoshoot up here on ILB, but last weekend I met up with Michael Cortens, the owner of this beautiful mk4 Golf.
This used to be just your basic run of the mill Golf, but Michael has transformed it to an R32 look a like with a lot of time and effort. Though under the hood he's sitting on around 150 bhp.
He's fitted the complete kit r32, resprayed the entire car in Porsche Sand Grey, lowered it with AP coilovers, fitted Golf 5 r32 wheels, and a…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/

Continuing on from Wednesday's Part 1 coverage of Showerks Live comes this article, with our final 150 photos.
With the weather on the day consisting of interminate showers, you'd have thought the crowds would have stayed at home - but that wasn't the case, the show saw hundreads of people flocking through the car parks checking out all the cars.
Winners on the day included;
Best stance - Pete Matthews - mx5 Performance - Mark King - Cosworth Best interior - Robert - MK5 Golf ( See our f…… Read the full article on www.ilovebass.co.uk/
