NI Vaux

Saturday just passed saw local Vauxhall owners club NI Vaux host their second car show in Downshire School, Carrickfergus. Their previous show in 2008 managed to collect £1550 for the Northern Ireland Spina Bifida charity so this time around we where expecting to see another great turn out and support of this years charity, the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice. The show seemed busy, with a good collection of spectators enjoying all the cars on show.

Though mostly Vauxhalls, this show was open to all makes and models and saw the normal show supporters from around the country showing off their pride and joys in the Show and Shine display. A good variety of cars from both the Vauxhall family and others.

Our photographer Robbie Donaldson popped down to make sure he got the rounds in early before any bad Northern Irish weather kicked off. James, Ricky and I also called down to snap a few photos and have a chat with the regulars.

There was plenty of cars of show, as well as bouncy castle for the kids which Ricky wanted a go on it, but didn't manage to talk him self into ( thankfully ). And there was also your normal chippy van, a party bus and a few PR girls floating about. A good day all in all.

The Northern Irish Fire Brigade where also on the scene to show off their display, where they chopped up an unexpecting Vauxhall Astra.

Total amount raised on the day was a huge £3800, a big congratulations to everyone envolved!
